For a vehicle we need registration or title in your name, or a photo ID that matches; for a property, ID matching the address, a lease or a deed. We check it before we open anything. If you cannot produce it we will not do the work and there is no charge. That requirement is exactly what stops somebody else having your car opened.

Rekey if the hardware is sound and you only need the old keys to stop working, whether after a move, a lost key or a tenant change. Replace if the lock is worn, damaged, of a grade too low for the door, or if you want a different key system or finish.
